Crossville Tennessee
Crossville is an old Tennessee town formally known as Lambeth's Crossroads, named after Samuel Lambeth who opened the first store. The store was built at the crossroads of a cattle trail and wagon trail around the 1800's pretty close to where US 70 and US 127 cross today.
There are many historical buildings and locations around the city of Crossville well worth taking the time to see. The downtown area is only about 10 minutes off Interstate 40 with many restaurants offering a tasty break from traveling. After your meal I highly recommend walking around the downtown area and visit some of the locally owned stores and shops.
